Half a Million Hands

As a deacon at our church, I am called upon to help greet at morning services once a year or so. Today was our day to greet, and we got the opportunity to help out with the 9 a.m. service... which is slightly earlier than we like on a Sunday morning, but it was nice to get the day going. It felt like we shook a half a million hands this chilly morning, but it was fun to connect with people. It was also interesting to me how different people's handshakes can be. Some are firm, some are too firm (did you just break my hand? Possibly!), and some felt like you didn't have a hand in yours at all. Alas, we made it through and had a little fun along the way.
